Trunk-or-Treat

Our next door neighbors invited us to a Halloween party. On the flyer it said that there would be a chili cook off. So we decided to go. Elyse went as a skeleton, and I went as a stick figure.

When we got there we saw that there was fry bread, popcorn, cotton candy. They were all really good! Then after dinner I got some fry bread which was made fresh on the spot so that made it REALLY good! Then we played some games then it was time to go trunk or treating. All trunk or treating is trick or treating but from the back of people's cars. Then we went home.

New Pet

One day Elyse brought home this book about hamsters. Once we had read it we both totally wanted one. So mom took me to the pet store. I tried to hold a hamster and it jumped right out of my hands. While I was in the room mom was talking to a woman. She said she would recommend getting a rat. So I went in the little room with her and she held a rat and then I petted him. Then I held him. He was acually really soft. I REALLY wanted a pet rat after that. But my sister had to be able to handle a rat.

So about a week later we went back to a pet store and Elyse and I held the hamster. So then I put on some hand sanitizer and then we tried to hold the rat. So I was holding the rat and it bit me. At first I thought it was just a little nibble. Then I looked at it and it was really bleeding! So we washed it and it stopped bleeding. It was just a little tingly afterwards.
